nzLARPS AGM 2010 – The Auckland AGM

Hi everyone,

The nzLARPS Auckland Regional AGM will be held on Thursday 21st October at 7:30pm to 9pm, venue to be specified shortly.

The nzLARPS committee will be presenting on the state of larping in New Zealand as it has progressed over the last year, and talk about what the society has been up to in that time: new games, new stuff, new friends, all that!

And, as usual, the voting in of the new Auckland committee will take place. Nominations will open in another thread.

If you are an Auckland nzLARPS member, please do turn up. We need a large percentage of our membership present to qualify quorum, so come along and bring all your nzLARPS friends. If you are not yet a member of nzLARPS but wish to be, please email Rowena at secretary@nzlarps.org and she’ll set you up - it’s currently $20 for one year’s membership for adults, and $15 for students and beneficiaries. We have heaps of awesome events coming up, so the time has never been better to join.

The nzLARPS AGM will now be held on Thursday 28th October due to venue issues. Confirmed venue to be posted tomorrow.

Due to immense and seemingly insurmountable difficulties in finding an affordable venue that’s centrally located, we will be having it at the place we normally have our committee meetings: Rowena’s house, 2/2A Ewenson Avenue, One Tree Hill.

If anyone would like to get there but it will be difficult for, please post and we will make arrangements.

Hi everyone, just a reminder that this is TONIGHT (Thursday 28th Oct) and we really don’t want to have to reschedule due to not having quorum. Please come along, we’ll talk about how awesome the last year was and how awesome the next year will be and which awesome people will be helping make it awesome.

Thank you very much to Blair, Muppet and Zannii for their work on the committee last year, and an especial big thanks to Gaffy for two years as Gear Officer. Special thank you to Hamish Meads for doing all the accounts for us, and for explaining them to us, and to his wife Rachel for letting us borrow him.

So, with that sorted, we’re off on another year. Exciting times ahead include fancy graphics, tax, gear days, bandaliers of business cards, and meetings with Mike’s awesome coffee!

Oh, and every single one of the postal votes turned up. So if you worried that it had gone astray in the system, it didn’t. They all made it on time.

The new committee members should be able to see the hidden committee forums. If you can’t, let me know.

The outgoing committee members will still be able to see the forums for a couple of weeks.
