NZ Body Art Awards Exhibition

For those who may be interested in body art …….
The Lake House on Fred Thomas Drive in Takapuna is having an exhibition of last year’s 2006 Body Art Awards from the 5th to the 14th of June.

This includes the first public display of my work.

As a number of people know I won first place in the photography section with a photo which includes our fellow larpers, the lovely Juliet and Erin. This was my first ever attempt at body art using the cheap and nasty Mordiva style zombie paint. (never touch the stuff now)
I believe it’s free, so if you get the chance to show support, go have a visit.

Cool! There is some sort of Body art catwalk competition in a couple of weeks too. Is it the same thing? A friend of mine’s design is a finalist in that this year.

Now I have two reasons to go have a nosy.

The stage show or cat walk as you put it is exactly the same thing. The Body Art awards 07 is the event in a couple of weeks includes a photography section, which is what I entered in last year.

The exhibition at the Lake House are photos from all the winners last years 06 awards event, ie of the art on the cat walk, and includes the photo section as well.

Flyer:

Will you be entering again this year?

Is there any entry cost for the day?

Aye, with Clare doing the painting this time round.

Not for 2006 Lake House display from last year.
The show on the night of the 16th for 2007 awards costs $40 to 65 through ticketek.

awesome, good luck!

Opps did it again. I won first place in the photography section again

Awesomeness!

Well done. Can we see the picture?

None of the evil photoshop stuff that I don’t really understand, but a Polarizer lens hand held against the end of camera lens.
The whole shoot took 12 hours, was a long day for everyone and poor Sarah is standing in a water during a small break in a day which rained for 70 % of day - it was cold to put it mildly.

  • First time model and first time painter as well

Nicely done.

[Double post removed. The replacement is longer than the original. Never mind.]
