No Chimera for me :(

Excuse the pity post - I hope to catch all GMs this way.

Due to a number of financial and logistical hurdles I’ve realised Chimera is a luxury I can’t afford at present.

I may have shed a tear or two.

Anyway, I hope you all play hard and have the best time ever! So so sorry to all the GMs who gave me super-sweet roles to play. I really hope you can find other people to fill those spots. I don’t like to let anyone down.

Obviously, I’ll just have to get someone to run Refuge down here sometime, eh?

Me too, for different reasons, and for the third time in a row.

Chimera I: I was recovering from a delicate operation.
Chimera II: I got word that my uncle had died as I was on my way to Chimera. We had to leave early the next morning to attend his tangi (which last for 3 days).
Chimera III: And this year, the date for Chimera was announced after we’d booked a family holiday (while Anna is the Queen of Long Notice, my parents-in-law operate on a whole different scale altogether).

That sucks Mike.

I’ve got a combo of heaps of things. An injury that isn’t healing, needing to move house by Sept 15th, a car that’s about to die, and replacing all the stuff that got stolen from our house while we wait and wait and wait for insurance.

Somehow the perfectly normal ‘real life’ challenges can seem a lot crappier when they get in the way of make-believe!!

Hah! As if to make up for both of our absences, I dreamed last night that you and I were playing together in a big-mega-massive-awesome game and your character was AWESOME!!! Heh.
