I need to set someone at Corner of the Earth up on an IV drip and a tank of oxygen, is there some way to effectively physrep this without having to steal from a hospital?
How about a scuba diving tank for the oxygen tank. Some kind of hose coming from the tank to some kind of mask would work.
For the IV drip, the main thing you’ll need is the plastic tube - maybe you can get one from an aquarium shop ? Connect it to an inverted glass bottle that is somehow hung to a wall and you’re done.
Check out your local pharmacy, they can order all these things for you if they don’t already have them in stock. Most of these things (masks and drips) are reasonably inexpensive and available without prescription. Just tell them you need stuff for a movie or something and you don’t need any needles and they’ll work something out.
A clear mask with a bag for a high O2 non-rebreather type, or a Hudson mask for an increased O2 level. Nasal cannular also look funky for an increased O2 level, just like in The Pretender.
Bottle could be any tank, just make a paper O2 label in Word, trim to fit, and double sided tape.
IV, hang a bottle, add a clear hose like from an aquarium, and use non-see through tape to fix it to the arm.
You’re good to go. Most stuff is available from a Pharmacy, just flash your nzLARPs card at them.
Thanks for these, they are a big help. Now I just need something I can mobilize the IV drip with but I’m sure I can figure something out.
Wheels.
Lol.
Go to the tip and find an old swivel chair, nick the coasters off it and screw (or duct tape, or whatever) them to the bottom of whatever frame you’re putting the IV bottle on.
SPCA has oxogen masks, big grunty plastic ones, traz cyber goth… not sure why. made to fit a human. but i got one for free cuz mum works there. ask.
I have real IV stuff you can borrow if you wish, bags, fluid, tubes etc.
How and when can I get ahold of it? I’m on holidays this coming week.
Also, do you happen to have a pole with wheels for porting the IV drip?

Nope no pole.
