NaNoWriMo 2010

I gave up on the novel, and am doing NaSoWriMo instead … which is to say I’m busily trying to release a piece of software in a month, for Windows Phone 7.

It’ll be close (particularly with Teonn prep stealing most of my spare time this week, and Teonn itself stealing the weekend … not that I’m complaining), but should be doable.

My wife, on the other hand, is ahead of the 1667-word-per-day curve … le sigh. I’ll have to race her properly next year

My laptop died, so I gave up shortly after reaching 16,000 words. Had a blast while I was writing it, though.

I’m at 32000 - behind on the word count, but not by much. I’ll make 50,000 even if I have to write “Screw Flanders” over and over again!

Unfortunately, that was one of the best in the entire year for the magazine not basically being written by him and his girlfriend, so it didn’t happen. He did have an amusing Poochie reference on the back page though.
