Medieval Featured Extras Wanted

Received Monday, November 16, 2009:
"Hi there
I’ve sent a few emails regarding a sketch we’re filming as part of a brand new comedy sketch production entitled RadiRadiRah - from the makers of bro’Town and NZ’s best comedian writers and actors. We’re shooting this Sunday 22nd November and require as many featured extras with their own Medieval costumes as we can find. They should not wear bright colours, and would be required for approximately half a day from 8am. We would be very happy to make a collective donation to your organisation if we were able to secure approx 7-10 members willing to donate their time. We would also be honoured to invite NZ Larps to our wrap and launch parties, and promote the association with thank you credits on featured episodes.

I have created an event on Facebook - if you could please forward the information to membership I would greatly appreciate it.

Points of interest:

  • If there are 5 or more people going from NZLARPS they will arrange a donation for the group.
  • According to the facebook group they need you to send a pic and register interest to: janelle@firehorsefilms.co.nz to be part of it.
  • The shoot is on Sunday, November 22 (Next weekend) at 8am. I assume the address will be given out once you have been selected.
  • No brightly coloured costumes.

What we need: At least 5 people to be willing to attend this.
If you would like to, you will need a photo of yourself, preferably in medieval costume but if you don’t have any don’t worry about it. Post on the thread or pm me so this is organised.

why is it these things are always freaking badly organised - seriously - less than 7 days notice 0-o they can’t seriously have been planning this for only such a short amount of time or is it just that we are the last resort go to nutters?

if i can borrow a costume and four other people from nzlarps, ill go.

adam don’t be such a negative-Nancy

7 days is actually a decent warning when it comes to film & TV. It’s not that they’re badly organised at all, they just can’t afford to spend weeks messing around on any one project.

I don’t plan most of my life more than a couple of days in advance. Seven days warning is perfect for me. I tend to know if I’m free and it’s fresh in my mind.
