Latex sealant

The stuff the pros seem to use in the UK as a top-coat to stop latex getting sticky is Isoflex Special Primer, a transparent roofing sealant:

Note that people always say it’s toxic stuff, need to do outdoors with mask.

Has anyone seen a way to get that product in NZ?

Alternatively, anyone experimented with transparent roofing primers or other products that are available in NZ?

I see Dulex have one, I’m wondering if that would work? Specs are here. Not sure if it comes in other size than 15L, which is too big for experimenting with.

There’s also this Roof Reviver stuff, again in 20L cans.

Resene is the other big paint player in NZ. Their website has useful data sheets about all their products, so may be worth taking a look at, or asking their technical guys the question.

Other options are AkzoNobel (www.wattyl.co.nz). Both these companies are located on or near Rosebank road in Avondale and do a variety specialty protective coatings. Akzonobel has a policy of not selling direct to the public, however it would sell to direct to paddywack games for example. I suspect that Wattyl will have a similar policy.
