So, I’m enjoying lotsa things!
Crucible continues to hold the bulk of my LARP attention. I love the story that’s unfolding and how it affects my character. I also love the $70 meter linen I’m working with as I make a new larper a costume (and love even more I got it for $10/m!!!). And I remain deeply appreciative of all involved. Even the mechanics side goes over my head, I’ve had more insight into the practical aspects of running a big game than ever before, and I know it can be a tireless and thankless task. I guess I love having that insite as it helps make me a more appreciative player.
I love the monthly Changeling game. I was hesitant to join a monthly WOD LARP as I feared it would be number-crunchy, downtime action-centric and, well, not my cuppa tea. However, the emphasis has been on crafting a great story, some good zingers in downtime actions, and really enjoyable monthly games. They keep getting better and better, and I’m really glad I signed on to play. Thanks GMs and players!
Lastly, I’m enjoying the friendships I’ve made through LARP. They’ve lead to all sorts of adventures and shared experiences and I’m privileged to know so many creative, vibrant people!
