Hi all, I have been awol for some time but have recently come back.
Sorry if I left anyone hanging with my sudden departure.
While I was away a dedicated group started running more MilSim, less speedball type games.
I would like to give them a brief lesson on proper role playing.
eg. How to stay in character,
how to break character without disruption the situation
safe contact procedures, eg if you have to strike someone
I saw bad role playing at a game and though , we can do so much better.
It would go something like this
.A quick lesson on LARPing basics
.Some practice time.
.Into the game with you evaluating each team’s performance.
.End of the day debrief.
What I would like is a couple of the pros from NZLARPS to drop in and show us how’s it done.
2 would be the minimum, more would make for a more immersive simulation.
Perhaps look over our game plan to maximise larping potential.
No charge to any larpers.
You will have a chance to commender weapons.
Looking at beginning of Aug.
If that is too busy due to Chimera then we can wait for another time.
Hopefully once they have the basics we can plan longer, more interactive games.
