ConFusion is back again this year, three rounds of gaming on Saturday 10th August at Brooklyn Community Centre. As last year, there will be a LARP stream. The games are fairly costume-light (though there’s scope to go all out with two of them), and are as follows:
Round 1 (10am start): Backstage at High Fructose- Steph Cybart’s game of feuding Indie bands, if you missed it at Kapcon, you can catch it now! 12 players.
Round 2: (2.15pm start): Struck to the Quick- the final in the trilogy of Shakespeare games by Russ Kale. What will happen to Mr O’Strate’s drama class now they’re rehearsing ‘The Tempest’? This is premiering at ConFusion. 18 players.
Round 3 (6.30 start): The Bell- an emotionally intense sci-fi LARP by Steph Pegg. This has run very successfully at both Hydra and Chimera, with positive reviews from all involved. Player number TBC. Costuming for this is plain black/dark clothes, and you won’t be assigned a character until the start of the game.
The cost to attend ConFusion is $15 for the day or $10 per round, and there are plenty of tabletop games if the LARP in a particular round doesn’t appeal.
If you’d like to take part in the LARPs, please e-mail me at ellen dot boucher at gmail dot com indicating which you’d like to play in, and I’ll pass on the sign-ups to the relevant GMs so they can send you through your character sheets.
Hope to see you there!
