I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are any LARP groups in Palmerston North. Thanks

There are at least 4 Larpers in Palmy. Mainly they come to Wellington for games, but there are also games run up there. But I am sure one of them will put their hand up very soon.

That would be me. But I don’t know of any games actually being run up here; I do all my larp in Wellington.

I had to move to Akld to find any lol … then again I was living in Levin and you can’t expect much from there :stuck_out_tongue:

So anyway, the handful of larpers currently in Palmie have got pretty strong ties with Wellington, and don’t have much bother coming down to our games (helps to have friends/relatives to stay with, as a bonus). On the other hand, there are small games around that are designed to be ‘easy’ for a new larper, plus being a lot of fun, so if you’ve got some mates you’d like to introduce to the hobby, someone there or from Wellington could probably run an introductory game for you. And maybe we could see you in Wellington for some games?

I haven’t actually done any LARP (LARPing?) before, but I’d heard of it, and it sounds fun. However, I’m pretty busy at the moment, so I’m not sure if I’d have time to go to Wellington.

Hiya - Palmy larper here. On t’other hand, haven’t run any games in Palmerston yet. When you have a bit more free time, and I’m not in the middle of a move and other stuff, might see if I can run something simple and fun, if you’re interested. It wouldn’t be before November, however.

Perhaps not, but it’s less than 2 hours from Wellington so there are worse places to be. :smiling_imp:
