LARP-Grade First Aid 2- 28th of April

After the success of the first LARP grade first aid class I’m going to run another on Sunday 28th of April, 12:30-5:30 pm, date to be confirmed at the start of April.

This is a blend of both workplace first aid and outdoor first aid, enabling you to know what to do if an emergency arises at any of the types of LARPs we regularly run.

There is no cost for the event, but please bring some food to share for afternoon tea.

Come dressed in comfortable clothes, bring along a pen, paper and bits of your normal armour, weaponry and accessories. For example: cloaks, sashes, walking sticks and so forth. Full costume is not necessary, but often times what your character is wearing can be used as improvised first aid equipment.

The maximum class size is 10 so if you’re available please RSVP here.

I highly highly recommend going along to this. It’s fantastically useful information, delivered by the very capable and highly experienced Linda, and at the princely cost of “some afternoon tea”, you can’t go wrong. It may help save someone’s life.

Go go go

yay this one I can get to, either date works for me

Great!

Having attend the first one, I can only re-iterate what Anna said.

Also, if you have a character which knows first aid, I’m sure you’ll learn something that can add to the roleplaying of this skill. If only it’s learning how to tie bandages properly.

Keen

Hello all, the date is confirmed for April 28th

Just a reminder to book in for the class, there’s 8 spaces left and it’s being held on Sunday 28th, 12:30 to 5:30

Hi guys, we’re down to five spaces available. If you’re keen to come please book in before they’re gone

Four places left!

Thanks, Linda

This was a great session, and the contents were exactly what it says on the label . It was delivered in a relaxed and yet informative manner, and the content was targeted towards typical larp first-aid situations. The practical hands-on exercises helped put it all into perspective, and Linda’s expertise was very apparent as she answered any and all questions we put to her. I am now more confident that I can assist in a larp medical situation.

As our community grows, the issue of larp safety, and best-practice around responding to medical issues will also increase. I recommend this course to all larpers !
