LARP at KapCon 2008

It looks like KapCon 2008 is turning into a bit of a LARP-fest. In addition to the main LARP, Sanctuary, we now also have two smaller LARPs running in the ordinary sessions:

For the Honour of the Family: A 14-player political / family drama, set in C19th Transylvania. The head of the Cantacuzino family has died, and the family is meeting to decide a successor.

Graduation Day: A 9-player LARP set in a magical university. Prince Ambrose of Arlandia is graduating from the White College, and has one last step to go through: his graduation feast.

I’ve played both; they’re good.

These are both entered in the KapCon Scenario Design Competition, so they’ll be available on the web after the con if anyone up there wants to run them.

I should add: if you want to register for KapCon, you can do so here

$20 players, $10 if you GM something, $5 if you only attend for the Saturday-night LARP.

Awesome! Do you happen to know which days/sessions they’re running in?

I’d be interested in running them up here. Could you link us when they’re up?

One is definitely Sunday afternoon; still working out the other one (but most likely Saturday afternoon).

Yup.

LARP update: both mini LARPs are now on Sunday - “For the Honour of the Family” in the morning session, and “Graduation Day” in the afternoon. Costume admired, but not required.

And of course there’s the main LARP on Saturday night.
