KapCon: Looking for Board

I have made the decision to head down to play in KapCon again, thanks mostly to Air New Zealand for their epic flight deals.

I am wondering if there is a similar situation to my first KapCon from 2010, where kind Wellington residents might have a couch or equivalent for two travellers from Auckland?

That’s great to hear Rob, it’ll be wonderful to see you down here!

Unfortunately Nasia and I only have couch space for one (it’s good couch for sleeping though) but someone will certainly be welcome to use it.

I might be able to put you up, but I will have to build up some brownie points in the house-keeping division first.

I can also take one person on a couch, if you can’t find better. (Cat’s already got dibs on the spare room, sorry.)

Potentially. Would need to ask flatmates.

We have the spare beds to have you both for the weekend (a foldout couch and an actual bed), although I’m only attending the main larp, so transport is something else you’d have to organise (however, a number of people from the Hutt will be going, so getting a ride in is possible).

Yeah, my spare room will hopefully be clear and clean by that stage, and will be free for people to crash (Liz and Russell stayed this year).

A kind person has offered and we are now sorted, thank you all for the offers!

Looking for any kind soul that can put me up on a couch for the few days of kapcon.

I just wanted to check that everyone who was wanting accommodation has found some? We’ve got 3 people staying at ours (and I’m VERY EXCITED about that!!!) If anyone else is stuck or hasn’t shouted out yet please do so! Looking forward to seeing you all at the KapCon drinks shortly!

Love your work and love you all!

Hannah

I found out CAN crash at my sis’s which is reasonably central…BUT it would be better if I could get crash space with someone attending the con (at least for the days of the con) if I can arrange it. As to avoid relying on the bus or borrowing my sister’s car to brave those one-way dead end streets and no exit roundabouts that I recall from the last time I was in wellington that mean if you miss your turn you end up going miles out of the way.

Sorry, I’ve already got two. :frowning:

I’ve got space for, um, 3-4, maybe 5 if I can get the junk out of the spare room.

Sleeping arrangements vary from bed, to fold out futon, to airbeds of double and single variety. I think my record so far is 7 people in total sleeping in the house…

Norm if I can take you up on one of those placements for the days of the con I will be in your debt, my good man. I’ll take anthing you got going.

No worries. Welcome to chez Norm! Otherwise known as Indigo City.
