KapCon 2014 is now open for registrations:
Of particular interest to larpers: the flagship larp, “Shelter from the storm”. There will also be smaller larps running through the normal sessions, and Pax Victoria II, a grand strategy game by Dillon Burke in round two.
This year, as usual, kapCon is running a number of small larps alongside the ordinary tabletop sessions. Because these larps require costuming and casting, we are allowing players to preregister for them.
The larps in question are:
Round 3 (24 spaces total)
Round 5 (27 spaces total)
Round 6 (30 spaces total)
Round 7 (16 spaces total)

To ensure everyone has a fair shot, we will be running a mini “shark week”. Initial registrations will be taken by email between 7pm Wednesday 4 December and midnight Friday 6 December, after which games will be allocated. Where a game is oversubscribed, the decision will be random. In rounds where there are multiple costumed choices, I am happy to take a first and second preference.
Following the initial signup period, games will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note that there are other non-costumed larps running in these sessions, as well as a host of fantastic tabletops, so don’t worry about “missing out”. There will be something good to play regardless.
