No offense. It’s just there’s a lot there.
You won’t need to memorize any of the history or the rules for this one off game. Any rules relevant to your character (like spell effects) will be included with your character sheets.

I hadn’t planned to. Actually, I hadn’t really even thought of it. I don’t really run many games and I try to make them all unique and memorable in their own right.
But I suppose I could, given that I spent so long working on it 
For what it’s worth, I do think it works very well as a ‘stand-alone’ game. And makes a great teaser for the campaign.
