International larp forums

If you’re interested in chatting with larpers from around the world then I’d like to recommend these sites:

The RPGnet LARP forum. RPGnet is the biggest roleplaying site on the web, the larp forum is fairly new but has a lot of potential.

Also, Shade’s LARP List is worth a look. They started out as a list of larp groups and they’ve also had a larp forum for a number of years now.

It’s amazing how much can be learned just by asking other people how they do things. And people further away tend to do things differently.

I’d be interested to know what people’s answers to this poll on favourite larp genres are.

I think you pose another good question at the end of that - why don’t people like “real lifeish” genres? They’re popular in other media. Well I like real-life-ish games!

I answered “modern supernatural” but I would have liked to pick Futuristic, Historical realistic alternative, Historical supernatural, Modern realistic, Modern supernatural and Experimental.

Was there something wrong with your mouse ? Or does Linux render checkboxes as radiobuttons…? :stuck_out_tongue:

I actually realised I could select multiple genres as the next page loaded. But since you asked, Feisty is just terrific
