On sunday the KD had thier annual steel weapon tournament, it was a smaller event than last year, almost half as many entrants but never the less it went well.

and guess who won the restricted tournament champion award as well as the restricted case weapon section.

thats right our own Nadia wiped the floor with all of the compettion in the case section and walk away with the overall prize.

Also the good news is that Marc has the key to the more powerful mark ii version of Nadia – in that he is completing a nicer lighter sword for her, than the heavy clunky sword that she used when she won on Sunday.

she did very well, regardless.

her reaction to winning the champion prize was priceless, as she wlaked up to recieve her prise she said “this is silly”.

In my opinion the best acceptance speech since anna paquin won the oscar for the piano

Well it was silly, I was only pointing out the obvious truth :laughing:
But for someone who never wins anything, it was rather cool, though incredibly undeserved.

I like the description of wiping the floor of all the competition, there was an awful lot of them :wink:

Julianne can give you some pointers in this regard, she has saved me more than once by backstaping someone eg David.

Also I would like to point out Nadia did look pretty good and outstanding against Darian, who is over 6 ft and was using a rapier and a cape. This is not an easy combination to go up against and she made it look easy. :smiley:

Did Carl and Ben draw the championship? Strange, when we get that result, we have a final…

the tourney champ is decided by points not by combat, and when the points were totalled up Ben and I were tied so it was decided we share it.

plus the rule we have is that the winner of the tourney champ award returns the next year and judges the tourney so this way we have two judges garaunteed for next year.
