How to Make a Light Sabre

So, there’s this web competition called the Cheddar Monk Academy which I want to participate in, and one of the tasks is to make your own light sabre. Given that I’m not particularly workshop-crafty (making the Jedi robes is much more in my line) can anyone give me some tips? (Doesn’t need to be up to larp-safe standards, but I’d like it to look good.)

Talk to Norman, he and i sued some very good home made ones for Shadows within light.

If it’s just for a single photo, and you’re never going to go into battle, I’d suggest colored paper and a flashlight would do the job.

here you go, just whipped one up with what was lying on the table:

flashlight
pink paper bag (my wife’s not mine)
pink hair tie (my daughter’s not mine)

It’s kind of the derringer / ladies purse model and only about 10 inches long fully extended*

  • can we just skip right on past that one please - imagine you made the joke and we all laughed
