The costumes and sets are good. But they’re using wooden weapons, which is somewhat scary.
That looks amazing.
Excellent stuff.
As for the wooden weapons, I don’t really see a problem. Back when I was at school we used to larp, but called it widegaming, with wooden weapons about 20years ago. We’d make swords and staves out of decking timber wraped in duct tape (to avoid splinters).
Sure there were bruises, but never anything worse than that.
That game looks like fun:)
Russian larpers use wooden weapons too. Though I was told by experienced larpers there that the level of traumatism is high
I’ve seen Russian larpers fighting in a park in Moscow with metal weapons. Not reenactment swords, more like home-made rods. I think they took flat tubes, maybe aluminum, and hammered them flat. There were some Russian larpers here in Auckland that used to fight that way too, I played with them once - they used foam weapons that time for the benefit of us wimpy kiwis.
I thought wooden weapons were an eastern European thing, Poland and Czech and such. Surprised to see them as far west as Switzerland.
