Host a Murder

Does anybody have any of those “Host a Murder” games I could borrow?

Or something like that, that can be played over dinner.

Kelsie (my wife) has said she’d prefer to have one where the murderer knows they’ve done it. She believes this is not the case for the “Host a Murder” series.

IMO, the Freeform games are great for this.

I’ve played Death on the Gambia, and it was lots of fun and simple to learn (apart from Beccah, Kath and I, there were no larpers).

Since I didn’t buy the game (it was owned by a mate), I can’t lend you a copy. But I can recommend them if you have £20-£30 to spend.

I was hoping to spend the £20-£30 on wine…

Hrmm. My parents have some, which could possibly be borrowed. I can’t remember if they have the type where the murderer knows they’ve done it though.

In the “How to Host a Murder” box sets the murderer doesn’t know they’ve done it… and the game is rubbish. Just sitting around reading out of booklets for the most part.
