Holiday Season is coming

This year’s NZLARPS Wellington Christmas LARP is ‘Holiday Season’ from Interactivities Ink:
Chanukah Harry and Santa Claus have invited the various winter/December festivals to discuss merging all of their lands to form Holiday Season. This would allow them all to gain a great deal of power, but they would have to share it with others, and there is the risk that they’d lose their Holiday’s uniqueness via assimilation. They have been gathered for hours, socializing and chatting, but now the real negotiations are about to begin.

From the writer who brought us ‘Slash’ (to give you some idea of how sensitive and politically correct it is), a very fun, silly game for 11 players and 6 NPCs (trust me, the NPCs will be lots of fun).

The game will run on December 15th at Brooklyn Community Centre. Cost is $20 or $15 for NZLARPS members. If there’s a huge amount of interest we will, as last year, look at two runs (with 2 GMs).

Registration for the game will open on November 18th,
with an announcement here and on the Wellington Google Group. This post is just to gauge interest and let people know it’s coming up, so we can make sure potential players hear about it before it fills.

I’m hoping there will also be a bring-and-share meal element, details yet to be finalised.

Sounds great Ellen.

Has registration for this opened? Do we just reply here or is there a more formal process?

Yes, just about to send out the e-mail: Registration is now OPEN- email ellen dot boucher at gmail dot com to register.

And it’s going to be another two-run festive spectacular- you lot are FAST.

Just in case you were wanting to play but thought there weren’t spaces- there are! We have plenty of space left for players and NPCs, come socialise and celebrate the festive season with bring and share food, and a politically incorrect LARP!

The way you keep saying “politically incorrect” is not exactly selling me on this - it sounds as if you’re not so much pitching a larp that employs cultural stereotypes for humourous effect as trying to attract Michael Laws.

no hyphen between Ryan’s middle name and last name

Costume sorted, hopefully I won’t broil.

Two spaces have opened up due to illness, one of them a very key character. If you want to get in on the Holiday Season action (including festive bring-a-plate snack deliciousness) then please e-mail ellen dot boucher at gmail dot com a.s.a.p!
