We’ve been trying to find a venue for the AGM but we’re having absolutely no luck with our usual avenues - we’ve tried a large number of council halls with no luck, and university is very dubious due to them having exams next week.
Does anyone have any ideas for a venue that can hold 30-35ish people from 7:30-9:30pm next Thursday, that’s reasonably centrally located?
The Horticultural Society Hall out in Western Springs? Sorry, not so central in the location, but I know they hire it out.
In Wellington, we’re all meeting up at a pub. (One of the benefits of a small membership base, I guess.)

Our local scout hall is set on the waterfront at Cox’s Bay near Herne Bay (and on Bus route). I think the cubs meet on Thursday early evening, but IIRC would be finishing around 7:30. Mention Brent being a scout leader - I could take respopnsibilty for getting the key back to the right person afterwards if required.

I wouldn’t recommend MyBar - a friend has gigs there sometimes but their stated capacity of fifty would be quite crowded and would include outside tables.
but the function room is down the corridor by the toilets, so it might actually be ok 
Heh, okay obviously I’ve never been to the toilet at MyBar or properly looked at the back of it
