Hello from france

hello to all the NZlarp community, i’ve just cheked few
NZlarp site and and i want to tell you that i was amazed by the quality of your
costume and stuff. in Europe, uk is the larp mecqua and your appear to be
at least at an equivalent level,!
i’ve a question and i hope it’s the good topic otherwise please, don’t blame cause…i’m french
by the way,my question is: how goes the larp weapon making in your wonderful
country? i asked that cause you know that there’s some presidential election in my country and,to be short, if the worst come i don’t really want to stay there…
then i was on the migration bureau website by curiosity and there was this question: WHAT YOUR SKILL . i’m professional latex weapon maker since 6 year now and i was asking myself does it works?
is there any need s of weapon maker in new zealand?

thanks for your answer and cheking picture from your game is a real pleasure .
(you could chek my work on www.lesmarais.com ,let me know your thinking)

Hey mate, welcome to Diatribe.

There are no professional latex weapon makers in New Zealand. A few people make their own at home, but they don’t really compare in quality to European/UK/Nordic stuff. Your weapons look nice and definitely nicer than anything currently being made here, although your website is a bit hard to navigate.

Most of the latex weapons at games in New Zealand are ones I’ve brought in as Paddywhack Productions: www.paddywhack.co.nz - so you might encounter some possible competition with my sales.

The only other problem you might encounter is a smaller demand than in France. Right now the number of players here is not large (and neither are my sales). But we intend to grow that number.

Personally, I think it would be wicked if you came over and made weapons & stuff here, and I think the community would welcome you with open arms.

Out of curiosity, who are you afraid of winning the French presidential?

R.

Also, if you came over here, you could try doing postal sales into Australia and that.

I know someone who makes a reasonable living painting wargaming armies and selling them into Australia and the US.

yess!!
thanks to be so accomodating, new zealander are the choosen ones!!!
Mr Paddy, won’t it be possible to work with you instead of against you?
i got another question: is there some isoflex in your country?
thank you stephanie for this excellent ideas.
how many people are involved in the NZ biggest event?

to enlight your curiosity and according to my opinion the worst president for my country will be the psychotic gnome with a 30’scrabble points name(i d’ont wanna name him properly ,it will curse my computer and your forum ) . the rascist le pen is just a puppet made for afraid the people, he has no chance to rule the country one day. the gnome, himself is very very more dangerous for the peace community cause he has already all the financial
bastard behind him and he’s ready to lick G.W’s. lovepode

thanks for all, and have goood game!

Yep, sounds good.

I think so, but I haven’t used it.

Biggest events I’ve seen were around 80 people. There is a lot of room for growth.

I like your politics! I can say that, seeing we’re in the off-topic forum for some reason. Still, it doesn’t seem like you have a really good option. Is Ségolène Royal all that you could wish for in a president? She gets a bit of mixed coverage in the BCC (only media outlet I follow that really covers France).

Given the result of the French elections, will we be seeing a new French larper in NZ?

hello everyone!

sorry for this long pause, i just get internet back since yesterday;
(our communication system is getting relly crap since it have been privatized)
anyway, the worst happen as you saw:shame on us but apparently we deserve it…
then i will come as soon as my bank count allowed it :unamused: i hopes it ''ll be before they start to open political reeducation camp for LARPlayer!

keep the pressure!
