Happily Ever After? - Flagship

We have now sent extended character blurbs and setting details to all players that have responded with a character choice.

Every player we are aware of has been sent character choices.

If you haven’t got either, can you please check your spam folders first. And then contact us. There are a couple of players we have had no response back from.

Thanks

And they’re awesome. Are we allowed to say who we’re cast as?

Some characters it may not be appropriate for, who they are and why they are there may be a surprise. Just use common sense about it and don’t give away secrets, but if you want to say who you are playing go for it, have fun.

Well, I for one love the character I have managed to wrangle out of you lovely GM’s and I can wait to breath life into him. It’s going to undoubtedly be awesome and I hope I can pull him off and do everybody justice…

What I’m more interested in is what people are in my run - given we have two different events, it would be cool to discover who is playing our alter ego, and who we get to roleplay with on the night!

I’m the wizard. All I’ll say.

That’s funny Rob… I went and saw a certain musical for my niece’s birthday a few months back, and the guy who was playing the wizard really reminded me of you.

I’m playing Doc from the seven dwarfs! Or “dwarves”, although that spelling conjures up chain mail and axes in my mind.

For some reason I can’t put my finger on this casting makes me immensely happy! I guess I just hadn’t considered that we’d be playing Disney characters. Now to find a pair of round non-prescription spectacles, and watch a classic movie for ideas.

From what I’ve seen of my character, I too think it sounds like it will be great

I know who’s playing my alter-ego, because he was included as a recipient in the same casting email. I had just assumed they’d done that for everyone xD

This is true, most people got a "hi jim & bob, you are playing xyz"
Although some people didn’t get this, those were people who either got the casting email before we decided to change (around a dozen or so) OR your alter-ego hasn’t been cast yet!

My character outline refers to non-Fae, Fae, and True Fae. Are all these things different from each other, or are Fae and True Fae the same thing?

Also just to check, what I’ve received so far says “There is obviously much more to come, and more secrets and information to tell you, but we hope this whets your appetite for now” - does that mean I haven’t received the “extended character blurb” referred to in the first post?

Cheers all, really looking forward to this character (and am learning a skill I’ve been meaning to learn for a while now because of it! )

To Explain a bit further for everyone.

Brief Blub = Character choices, no names, keywords, basic costuming etc, you should have replied with your preferred option to this, so you can be cast.

Extended Blurb = Character Name of the blurb you chose, a small background from your character & specific costuming information to give you an idea of what you are playing to assist with getting a costume sorted. Also the Setting information, which talks about the world you are in and other inhabitants of your world & other worlds etc. The Setting is the same for all players.

I wonder if you’re in my stream. If so then:

Hi Boss!
effusive waiving
I be Dopey.

Barry Brown reporting in.

I want to know who the beast is!

I’m one of the Ugly Stepsisters. I don’t know who my beloved sis is yet, though.

Just checking, but in my Extended Blurb email there are a few characters/place names that have URL links to larpwriter.com
Should I be able to access them, or are they for the organisers only?

Organisers Only! LarpWriter makes things easy for writers to link to other areas, so they can remember what is happening.
Unfortunately when you copy/paste into online forms (like an email for example), it brings the link along.

The Document was written in Larpwriter, as soon as you use a word that is the same as a page somewhere else, larpwriter helpfully makes that word a link. Even in fact if the word itself has no connection to the other page.

I started reformatting these on the emails I sent out to get rid of them. But earlier emails will have them. And no you shouldn’t be able to follow them.

Ah, that makes sense.
Thanks!

Me, at least one of them
