Hey guys

[spam]I wouldn’t usually post here about stuff I’ve been doing at work, but this one’s a bit good to pass up.

We’re running a competition with Air New Zealand to promote grab a seat - but the competition is grab a plane.

The prize is that you get a whole plane full of friends flying to your chosen destination, free. To win, all you need to do is get 40 people to say they’ll come.

I can’t win, but I can be on the winning plane. So if someone’s got a little bit of time, I think any of us could rustle up 40 people without breaking a sweat. Since only full planes can go in the draw, the chances are pretty good, and the prize is really something.[/spam]

This is flying from Auckland to Christchurch (where we can do more larping with mordavia south). Not sure if this is subsequently changeable. They appear to have allocated us 28th January for the flight date.

OK. The T&Cs say that we must fly on 26th-28th Jan, but we can change the destination at any time up until Jan 11th, plus change the passenger list (if we win, of course). Its a one-day flight (IE return same day) and we can pick preferred flight times. So, yay! And only 19 planes in the running so far, if we can fill one we have a 5% chance to win.

Actually, just to clarify…
The travel date is ONLY on Saturday 26th January.
Which also happens to be the Taupo Joust day.
And its return same day.

I’d almost suggest redo it and make Taupo the destination for an nzLARPS field trip down there.

So we’ll have Cthulhu spawn, vampire hunters, demons in disguise, cavemen, space mutants and pirates on the plane.

I doubt anyone would dare hijack it.

We can actually change the destination of our NZLARPS plane on any date up to the 11th Jan (see T&Cs) so we dont need to redo it. However they pick the date and we dont have a choice there.

Ah, so what you’re saying is we need a private jet so we can have that game. Somebody add private jet to our big list of things we need.

Pity you can’t actually get to Palestine on a 737 from NZ. I think we could make Syndey at a stretch - if they gave us enough fuel.
