General announcements for the residents of Hanover Camp

Attention all residents - General Announcements

With the recent influx of new arrivals we must ask for patience while housing arrangements are able to be confirmed. While we endeavour to keep family groups together, there will be times when what housing we do have must be shared. Winter is not far away and so we ask that all able bodied people, especially those who may have some practical construction skill, report to the Command and Administration Office for assignment.

Captain Blake, on behalf of Her Majesty, is pleased to announce that a new hospital wing is to be opened. This will allow for a greater level of care than previously possible. Any extra blankets, bandages or healing herbs can be left at Flint’s Taverna or at the Command and Administration Office.

Finally we ask that all residents stay watchful for white robed figures, shambling dead or demons. While the last few months have been quiet, constant vigilance will keep us all safe. Any suspicious activity should be reported immediately to the army camp, Captain Blake or Lieutenant Bogdanov.

Thank you as always for your continued support during these times,
Lieutenant Ivy Bogdanov executive officer to Captain Leonard Blake, officer commanding of Hanover Refugee Camp, Isle of Skye

God Save the Queen.

Elizabeth “Bess” Darby

Miss Darby has been missing for some time. She was last seen at the work camp, where she had taken ill. Any news of her whereabouts should be forwarded to Lieutenant Bogdanov, at either the Command and Administration Camp or Flint’s Taverna.

The Talisker Distillery wishes to inform the residents of Skye that due to unexpected demand and the increasing strain on our delivery team, we will be limiting our deliveries to the Campbell, Lancaster, Hanover and St. George Evacuation Camps to two each week, rather than the usual three. Those staying at these camps are encouraged to take advantage of their local providers, or to visit our premises in Carbost to take advantage of our cellars.

It should! I’ve made one for my missing person poster.

A bunch of missing person posters would be cool like in BSG, driving home the loss of the war.

a “missing persons/memorial wall” would be absolutely amazing, if characters wanted to bring along sketches/photos/posters of people they’ve lost, that’d be awesome. Once we’ve got the prop and costume fabrication to a slightly better state (and your mail written), the GMs can definitely take a crack at a few posters of our own

ALERT - THE VIOLET MAN

All residents are encouraged to be on their guard against a new scourge to our fair Isle. The Violet Man, a sadistic serial killer, appears to have made his way here. He is believed to have murdered at least a dozen people since late August. His methods are particularly inhuman (though we have no evidence of demon involvement) and his victims are marked with violets placed in their eye sockets.
Due to the similarities in methodology, he is suspected to be either an imitator of the Rose Killer, or the Rose Killer himself, having changed his flower of choice, for reasons unknown.

It seems a cruel irony that in this, the darkest days of the Empire and humanity, that we must guard against not only the demon hordes, but also the equally deranged of our own kind.

If you have any information on the Violet Man, please report it to the local military presence.

Lieutenant Colonel Abigail Stewart

(Not an April Fool.)

Notification of Proposal

To the Residents of Skye and associated camps,

This is an official notification of a combined proposal from the Honourable East India Trading Company and The Society for the Betterment of Humanity to build a Resurrection Station on the Isle of Raasay. Whilst recent events may have caused some anxiety among the local population, the Company and Society wish to reassure that every step is being taken to protect the residents’ safety. Here are some of the possible measures:

 1. The station itself will be situated in Raasay House and its immediate grounds. Security measures, such as tripwires and alarms, will be in place to keep homunculi on the Isle.

 2. Any other homunculi who have been posted to Skye will be publicly registered and have passes to indicate their freedom of movement. These homunculi will have to sign in and out of the registers held by the head of each camp and/or village.

 3. All current human residents will be, if they chose, relocated to Skye with generous compensation.

 4. Camp leaders may, if they wish, restrict the movement of Homunculi if they have grounds for reasonable suspicion that the Homunculi is somehow defective or dangerous to other residents. (1)

 5. All homunculi will be accompanied by a human sponsor, who will either be a member of the HEITC or the SBH.

 6. Punishments for homunculi breaking the rules include but are not restricted to: reduction or cessation of opium ration, labouring in the iron ore mine on Raasay, vivisection, imprisonment, lobotomy or termination of resurrection.

 7. Groups of specially trained HEITC officials, with the help of local volunteers will comb the islands for the remaining rogue reanimates and destroy them immediately.

This is also strictly a research facility, not a full scale Resurrection Station as might be found in the Oriental Territories. All homunculi who fail to thrive will be incinerated, as per the usual standard. The operation and associated running costs will be fully borne by both the associated organisations.

We hope that this will clear up an misconceptions or misgivings that the residents of Skye may have. We hope that this endeavor will be sucessful, and move the scientific art of Resurrection forward, to better aid against the fight between humanity and the forces of Hell.

Honourable East India Trading Company
Society for the Betterment of Humanity.

(1) This is not true for Homunculi who have the Q-1 designation, who are protected under law for their scientific or other value. Q-1 homuculi need official permission (from the HEITC and the SBH) to be restricted, confined or destroyed. It is expected that at any one time there will be only 5 Q-1 homunculi on Skye and nearby islands.
