Gear borrowing thread for Chimera '12!

Martin. I have overalls. They are big and gressed stained mechanics overalls. Idk if thats what your after. Does anyone have scrap material. Im sewing patches on a jacket for dave using my scraps that are yellow, purple and blue so if anyone has other colours please let me know

Mani, I have quite a lot of fabric - message me

So, I’m officially having trouble getting some Wizard’s robes. Does anyone have a set of comparable robes they are not using for the Flagship?

What sort of wizard robes? Are we talking Gandalf the Grey or something more fantasy? You can borrow my trusty red mage robes if it would suit - red satin, black lining, big hood, pointy cape, pointy hood.

You can borrow my Ed Robes if you’d prefer black, too.

Hey!

Looking for a toolbelt, men’s apron-type thing (for carpenter).

Also looking for some Princess dress options! I live on the North Shore so if you’re in that area would be easier for pick-up/viewing.

I’ve got a leather tool belt I can bring. I don’t have larp safe tools to go with it though, so it will be empty. I’ll bring it along Friday night.

What dress size are you after? And for which session?

Ok - I’m totally stuck for some sort of pretty pouffy late Victorian dress for Aunt Beatrice Began It. Anyone have anything matching that description (can be also dress+skirt) in a 14-16? Also a bonnet would be great. I had one, but I threw it out - silly of me.

Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, I couldn’t find any jumpsuits. But I am now the proud owner of a pair of leather pants that are way too tight, and a top that may have come from the womens’ section. Which I now realise is where Bowie and Mercury did their shopping.

Does anyone have a brown, Indiana Jones stlye fedora I can borrow for Friday Night? Also for the same time I’m looking for a Mal Reynolds style longcoat, although I realise that’s rather more of a long shot…

I also too am looking for an apron… one kinda sorta exactly like this:

OK, Looking for a simple victorian type blouse 8-12.just to go under a long black skirt. Pretty much a top that has no buttons and would be able to poof out a bit at the bust. Im a very simple poorer of the community. Also a bonnet, this is for aunt beatrice began it and for those in peril. Also a full yellow skirt.

Would any one up in Auckland have a cane I could borrow please/thank you

Plain and dark would be great, oh and it’s not a weapon so doesn’t need to be Larp safe.

Cheers guys.
I’m going to be using my grandfather’s old plain brown walking stick in a game on Saturday morning. You’re welcome to borrow it for any other time slot, but I’m afraid its a simple light-ish wooden colour (cause, y’know, its a simple wooden stick), rather than nice and dark.

As for me, I’d very much appreciate being able to borrow a brightly coloured shirt for the flagship - I’m thinking bright yellow or red, but anything would probably work. My shirts tell me I’m a size 39 (I think that’s collar size, in centimetres), but a slightly baggy shirt would probably be good, so I’d be quite happy with something a few sizes up as well.
I could still use the shirt :stuck_out_tongue: Also, its probably a bit late, but if anyone happens to have combat/military boots of any variety in approximately men’s size 11 that I could borrow on Friday night, that’d be great.

i have a white top size 14 just like this, elasticated so it should fit. with thin blue pinstripe. seems like we have almost ideantical outfits, ive got this top, black long skirt and bonnet* for queens justice sat morning. borrow any of if you like for sat afternoon.

*non traditional small bonnet home made, looks weird, not huge like amish or victorian/medieval women. just have a look.
