For big games, probably you do need to just have some sort of “This was the main plots of the game if anyone is curious” type thing from the GMs, cause y’know, if everyone speaks on average for one minute at an 80 player game, you’re gonna be there for more than another hour, which could certainly be a problem if the game doesn’t finish till late evening anyway. Smaller (15 or less players) then you probably could have a more in-depth wrap-up, but generally in games that small people will have seen most of it anyway I should imagine.
But, I know after the Teonn last November (and I assume at the end of the last weekend game, but I wasn’t there for it) at pub the GMs asked for everyone to tell their favourite story from the weekend, simply so that the GMs could actually hear what had happened at the game. This took probably most of two hours, but everyone was sitting around enjoying themselves, and it wasn’t too late in the day, and on the whole I personally quite enjoyed hearing of all the (usually funny) moments that I had completely missed, so I think if you do have a post-game gathering somewhere, going around like that can be a good idea. I imagine that’s more along the lines of what you meant by socially Idiot.
