Here is my two cents:
That’s SCA combat, probably in the USA. I saw this picture a few months back and some friends and I were trying to pick the event.
It’s kind of similar to larping, except we pad the people, not the weapons.
I also had my head chopped off at an SCA event when someone stole my barony
