Full-face makeup jobs - reapply every day?

Hi folks,

Those of you that get full-face makeup (for Teonn, mostly elementals and orcs) - do you take off the makeup every night, or sleep on it and touch it up in the morning? Especially looking at costumes like Blaze, Cinder, Phoenix, Morgana (RIP  ), and so on.

If you do sleep on it, do you put anything on your pillow to prevent staining? If you don’t sleep on it, how long (approx) does it take to take off and put on? Kel’s somewhat small makeup job took a good 15 minutes to get off properly each night, and I’m considering having makeup on the rest of my face when I go back for Fall From Grace in December.

Cheers all

I usually go to sleep in it (use an old pillowcase that you don’t mind staining, you can get them for a $1 from the Hospice shops) because I go to bed so late I can’t be arsed at night. Then in the morning I shower and reapply it all.

Whether you can leave your makeup on or not will depend on a lot of different factors. I’d say in a dry winter game you might be fine as long as you don’t sleep on your face, but if the weather is hot, or rainy, or you run around a lot, by the end of the day your makeup will be rough looking. Any design with fine details definitely need reapplying.

My makeup isn’t very extensive compared to some, but I take it off each night using baby-wipes. They’re a godsend. They don’t get everything off but they get most of it off and I have a much more comfortable sleep because of it!

When I played Magistrate I was showering in the evenings both days to let the skin be clean and breath at night, but it wasn’t horribly late, so I guess depends on what hour you go to bed.

From memory of both games I took it off every night. Not religiously, just with a face cloth to get the most of it. I have left it on I think once and noticed no detriment. Use Kryolan if you can. Its great.

I showered every morning anyway so a lot of what was left came off and I applied it again. But I suppose the make up style I am using is relatively simple to reapply
