The latest updates to Discourse 2.2.0 (the platform Diatribe uses) include a couple of features you might be interested in:
Ability to merge users
If you’ve somehow ended up with multiple accounts, let an admin or moderator know, or post it here, and we can merge them back into one account.
Passwordless signin via email link
This works in a similar manner to the forgot password option, but it logs you in rather than making you select a new password.
