I was wondering if there is anyone out there who fishes? I lately have had the strangest and strongest urge to go fishing, catch something and then gut it and cook it. (sorry to the vegetarians out there)

So I was wondering if there is anyone out there who would like to teach me an take me out fishing?

Maybe we can make a trip out of it if anyone else is interested as well?

I do the vegetarian version of fishing, which is even better. It’s called kite flying and there’s basically always a “fish” on the line. It’s magnificent fun - I have a 1 meter parafoil dual-line stunt-kite and I’m coming back from San Fran with a five metre power-kite that pulls even the hardiest fishermen around. Honestly, you get the same kind of thrills, it’s like sky-fishing. Afterwards we can eat broccoli.

Call Steve Nikki, not only is he a mad keen fisherman, but he knows all the best spots and has enough gear to kit you out, and i know for a fact that he wouldjump at the chance to wet a line. if you dont mind getting up early and he is free he will be happy to take you out for a fish.

My Mum has a story about going fishing when she was a teenager. She said that she and her friends would go out most weeks. They only caught a fish once, and they got so panicked about what to do with it that they stopped fishing entirely.

well for those who are interested Nikki, Steve, and I went fishing yesterday, and we spent a lovely day in a beautiful place, and we all caught something, and had fish for dinner :smiley:

if anyone else wants to go out I am sure we could organise a trip.

Cool i will bring my rod, it will help me get out behind the breakers where the big fish are. :wink:
