Greetings and Salutations!!
We’re just about ready? How about you guys?
SET-UP:
The gear will arrive as soon after 12pm as we can manage, but we don’t have access to all the buildings right away as the previous group will be moving out still. Set-up takes us a few hours, and the more the merrier.
Cellphone reception is iffy at the site, if you have messages after about 12, pass them to someone arriving before you.
MUSTER AND GAME START
Muster is at 7pm, game start is as as soon as possible afterwards. Especially if you’re new to the game, please prioritise coming to muster. You can then finish set-up/costumes/dinner and ease into the game. Dynamic entry people - please report to the dining hall to chill out when you’re ready. People without specific plans can enter the game however they feel is appropriate.
PCs will be getting a handout from the GMs covering “personal things you need to know”. Feel free to grab the GMs for quick questions during set-up.
WE DO NOT SERVE FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER
There is some take-out about 10 minutes drive down the road, and you’re welcome to use the kitchen facilities in the player area to make yourself dinner on-site.
MEALS
Meals are served in Fletcher Hall, with crew, GMs and players together and so are not fully IC. IC huddles tend to occur in Fletcher Hall, and meals can be taken back to the taverna, or outdoors in good weather, for a more immersive experience.
IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE LATE
Please make sure we know.
PCs, your handouts will be left in the dining hall, please pass a message to the GMs that you’ve arrived.
Crew, please come to the crew room as soon as you’re settled into a bunkroom.
HELPING OUT DURING THE WEEKEND
Players are asked to do a short stint in the kitchen - this is an OOC exercise. Players are also asked to take 20 minutes at some point during the weekend to clean up the player space. Rosters are on the wall.
PACKING
Everyone needs to bring:
Sleeping gear - blankets, sleeping bag etc.
Towel and toiletries, meds, stuff like that
Warm clothes
Crockery and cutlery - the venue just doesn’t have enough for everyone
Preferred snacks and caffeine sources
Warm and waterproof shoes
Players need to bring:
Costumes, props, weapons
Crew need to bring:
Black, preferably unbranded clothes
END OF THE GAME
At 2pm, we’re going to begin the slow fade to OOC. If you’re OOC, please stay out of the way of people trying to have their last IC moments.
At 2:30pm, we’re going to have muster again. This will cover packdown instructions, and for those who need it this is when the de-character-ing circle will start (location will be weather dependent). We’re only going to give this half an hour, but please feel free to continue at the after-party (Southern Cross, 7pm).
For packdown, you should first get your own gear together and clean your cabin, then start work on the communal areas. With good planning and enough chocolate, we can get out of dodge by 5pm.
MOST IMPORTANT:
Have fun, play safely, and be excellent to each other.
