Face of Oblivion, Publishing, and Beta-Players

I’m (finally) publishing a game I ran at KapCon last year, The Face of Oblivion. That involves writing up my play notes, prettying up the character sheets, and maybe supplying a few more printable props. Almost done. I’ll probably post it at DriveThruRPG

(And, y’know, spaceships and whatnot.)

In any case, I’ve e-mailed all the original players for whom I have contact details, to find out whether you’d like a beta-play credit and a complementary copy. If you played, haven’t gotten an e-mail, and would like your credit - please PM me and I will make it happen.

Cheers,

Cat

Sounds fun!

Thanks!

I’m aaaaaaaalmost through turning my working notes into something someone else can use. Just at that frustrating stage where there’s always one more nitpicking detail to sort out :frowning:

(For a given value of ‘fun’, mind. One of the KapCon runs had tears.)

The game went live tonight. Yayy!

It runs for 6-8 players, has been described as ‘harrowing’ and memorable, and comes with play notes, fully editable character sheets, name tags, crew patches, and printable props, plus a bee-eautiful cover by Hanz Hanz.

You can check it out here: rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product/1 … f-Oblivion

I will be distributing it free until May, at least, along with Tesla’s Wedding, because I’m trying to get some name recognition out there (so the comp copies for the original players aren’t as cool as they should have been, sorry about that).

If you feel like helping… feel free to gossip about it on gaming forums or mention it to your friends. Review the game if you like, doesn’t have to be a wondrous review - talk is publicity.

Only you can save Earth…

Congratulations, Catherine! That looks awesome!

Thanks, Anna

(Now we cross our fingers and hope somebody actually tries playing it…)

Some of the UK Freeforms crowd seemed interested.
