Exquire games long term schedule

Here are the games I intend to make happen between now and 2010. A rough schedule. These would have at least affiliation status with nzLARPS.

SAIL: Early 2007
Marooned on a deserted island

Nibelungen: Early 2007 - late 2009
Immersive pulp sci-fi horror

May Day Wellington: mid 2007
Revolutionaries/ terrorists sieze the capital

Exquire: Late 2007 -2010
Secret agent double-life as a “layer” on top of your real life.

Plan C - mid 2008
Zombie nightmare on school camp

Looks very exciting!

Care to elaborate any more on Plan C?

If someone else wants to run Plan C I’m fine with that too. It’s inspired by this Plan C run in the UK. Ryan pointed it out in another forum and a few of us have been intruiged ever since. I’m keen to see it happen for real.

Although the idea with that event was that no-one knew for sure it was zombies, and then… surprise! Or not so much surprise, in this case. It might pay to talk to the original runners about ideas, especially if you wanted to use the name.

You have a lot of double-up in your schedule Craig. Hope you’ve got time for it, like doing both Stuck on an Island and Nibelungen at once.

I absolutely agree, the creators should be spoken to. At the moment that idea is a distant way-off kind of one that I know how to make happen but haven’t put any into action yet.

I thought I’d drop this post here without much fanfare just to indicate that I intend to have a lot on my larp plate for a long time to come. I’d like to make a career of making games.

Today I begun the talks around getting corporate backing and resources to run Exquire under. The vision is far bigger than what I could afford to support on my own, and even paying someone (me) to run it full time it would make a profit.

There’s plenty of overlap. Cool eh  The games are also designed to end in a timely manner. I know as a player I would prefer to play “the next great game from the creators of Nibelungen” than I would like to play Nibelungen for longer than I was interested in it.

Nibelungen has a date and SAIL has a tentative date and a research trip on Saturday. Announcements soon.
