I’ve just stumbled across Exopaedia, a encyclopaedia of alien conspiracies written in a totally straight-faced manner as if it was all true.
The way they describe our universe, full of diverse alien species and time-travellers making contact with humans would make an awesome background for a larp set on modern Earth. It’s really quite rich and detailed.
