Event at MOTAT in Auckland

Thank you to everyone who helped out at the nzLARPS effort today!

Big thanks to Jackie who wrote the main pamphlet and brought her living along to decorate the stand. Thanks Bryn, for prettying up the pamphlet so nice! Thank you to Rowena who helped me put together the albums and the photoboards. Thank you to Cameron who stayed and helped out the entire day on the stand, and also to Dave Agnew, Jackie, Raoul, Lucretia, Gaffy, Lucy and Ignifluous for their time on the stand, chatting to passerbys and talking up larping to the public.

Huge thanks as well to Andrew McCartney, and the team at MOTAT for getting us involved!

I was the girl in the red dress, if anyone remembers me. Hopefully I’ll actually attend a LARP when time/money permits, today got me all psyched again.[/quote]

There happens to be a game coming up…at motat none the less (Check your flyer if you got one)

It was great to meet some of you yesterday  I didn’t get out of my room much with two costuming talks and the parade

Thanks to Andrew H. for getting me there and for help with transporting All That Stuff.

For those who attended the Steampunk meeting in the School House later in the day there is a picnic planned for Sunday the 26th of June to talk about future Steampunk events. There is a Facebook page event about it here: facebook.com/?ref=home#!/ev … 5020578500

Come along if you are interested or “like” the facebook page that created the event to keep in touch concerning future Steampunk events.

Your costuming workshops are what I’m most disappointed about missing out on! I’ve heard a lot about your costumes

On behalf of MOTAT, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everybody who came along and made the day such a big success. The stand looked awesome and everybody who was manning it was fantastic. To Everybody who came dressed up, thanks for looking so great, you really helped bring the site alive and you have really set the bar high for any future events.

Special thanks also go to the ever awesome Anna for all her help, advice and enthusiasm.

I’d also like to extend my personal thanks to you all for attending and coming on board. Steampunk and LARPing are two of my greatest interests and I have been trying to incorporate them into MOTAT for some time now. So it was fantastic to have you all there supporting it and proving that it is worth doing, and more importantly worth doing well. You guys rock!
