Dark Ages Vampire: Edinburgh

A few years ago, I ran a LARP set in Edinburgh, Scotland using the Dark Ages WoD Rules… and it was fairly enjoyed.

I’m toying with bringing it back, re-booted somewhat (IE you’re off the hook David if you want to be), but I’d like to know what people think and if it’s something people would like. Due to the simple issue of travel, this would be a game that would happen once every 6 months to a year for court, with the possibility of games more frequently for gatherings if it went down well.

I’m open to ideas and submissions as to if this is something that people would go for.

Off the hook? what after becoming seneschal, keeping the princes domain intact and stoping the plotting of two lasombra a damn sexy toreador and robbo? how could i stop now?

An interesting idea Cameron, I personally wouldn’t have any major problems upgrading it to new WoD, but bear in mind that as a direct result, there would be sects that simply didn’t exist.

Why not run a game in the city you live in? I think it would be difficult to run a campaign in a country you don’t live in, it would be far more practical to run it in your neighbourhood.

An idea, but not really workable in CA. People are far more interested in the modern game, playing weekly to fortnightly in a single campaign.

While there is a glut of NZ LARPs, the advantage is that they are not all world of darkness - old or new.

Although I think we currently have enough monthly larps (as more than one more are in the works that I know of).

I personaly will stick with localy organised games.

not current world of darkness no, but is the historical basis of the the earlier world of darkness you know as owbn. And imho is a far better setting than modern day, since characters actually have to rely on their wits and abilities rather than armies of law firm or banking minions and computer wizardry to gain their objectives.
