Cyberpunk needs set dressing! Help!

So I realise that set dressing is going to help the immersion more than I had anticipated at first. I’m in need of a few things to help kit out the venue (wherever that might end up being). I know some of the things I need, but I’m certainly open to suggestions if anyone else has any ideas or knows of some spare props.

I’m going to try and track these things down myself, but if anyone knows of where I could find some of these it would be a great help in immersing the players! The list is as follows;

[ul][li]Museum-style display cabinets or shelving. Preferably with perspex of glass covering, but I’m sure a set of shelves with gladwrap over it will do fine as well (gladwrap provided by me)[/li]
[li]A manikin. Preferably male. Or some similar human form that a suit of armour could be put on.[/li]
[li]A futuristic suit of armour, such as the one Michael Andrews wore at Chimera. Say, Michael, mind sending that suit down to Wellington for a weekend in February?[/li]
[li]Some futuristic-style weapons to put in said cases.[/li]
[li]Some large thin screens, and perhaps some touch-screens too.[/li]
[li]Any other sci-fi or cyberpunk stuff you just happen to have lying around your place. I’m sure it could be of potential display use.[/li][/ul]

If you know where I can get any of these things, or happen to have some of them yourself, please let me know! It would help the set a great deal to have these things!

I have various props and set dressing from this years Kapcon LARP which was Sci Fi. Come have a look some time at the NZLARPs library

By nerf gun or water pistol, add knobs and LEDs, spraypaint silver?

Computer monitor plus old laptop?

I’m definitely keen on having a look in there. Where is the NZLARPs library in Wellington?

Yes, and yes. Only problem is I need more computer monitors than I possess.

That would be my garage, as I am the gear monkey for NZLarps Wellington.

Hold the game at MOTAT

I remember a prop that Craig used for Neibulungen which I thought was pretty cool - an old TV set placed on its side and not quite tuned to C4 music channel - so that we got static-ky pictures that almost, but not quite, made patterns for the mind to recognise. Sound was down.

Well, I’d certainly like to see the contents of this garage of yours. Perhaps we can arrange a viewing time through private messages.

@Derek: I’m afraid this game is going to be hosted in Wellington. If it’s ever hosted in Auckland, I’ll consider MOTAT, but it’s meant to be set in a nice looking place

@Hannah: That does sound quite cool, although it’s a pity it wouldn’t apply in this game. I’ll keep it in mind for future games though.

Okay, that sounds awesome …

anyone got friends amongst MOTAT’s management?

Cameron might.

I believe he works there now - his username is Cameron (no surprises there)
