Is cross-dressing acceptable for this larp?
cross-dessing should be mantatory in every larp.
I didn’t really see much of cross-dressing, in fact, I’m not sure I’ve seen any. On one of Mordavia day games there was a character of which I think I’ve heard later said it was a cross-dress… But can’t recall anything particular. Anyone remembers any other examples?

However, this question arises from time to time, so I assume people take it rather serious (as serious as you can be about cross-dressing :unamused: ).

If anyone here has this experience - would you please be willing to share it?

PS: the definition of cross-dressing here will be “the gender of your character is different from your OOC gender”

When you’re crew or GM you’re almost always going to be cross-dressing every time you play.

i seem to recall tigger as a nun…

Don’t forgot the Valkyries… :open_mouth:

no forget the Valkyries . . . . please :open_mouth:

Ah, of course! I now even recall someone (Sir Michael, I think) telling me “This mother superior is very tall, isn’t she?” giggle

What are those Valkyries? What larp was it? Doesn’t ring any bell with me…

I played a hermaphrodite. 'Nuff said. Actually, no - the story that the name ‘hermaphrodite’ comes from is gross. Never mind.

Was that the one where he was in a chainmail bikini?

Not quite x-dressing, I did fill in for an absent (meant to be male) vampire in a vampire hunt. The scenario was 2 vampires after the same ‘maiden in distress’. Said maiden was vey amused as I ended up competing against her OOC boyfriend for her affections!

It really confused the adventuring party too…

So the chainmail bikini was once a real thing? I always used to think it’s just a turn of speech  which people just like to mention…

Oh yes, the chainmail bikinis were real. My eyes!!! Aieeee!

You’ve still got a picture or pictures?
Can you forward it (them) to me? Mine were lost when my computer commited suicide.

I don’t think you ever even uploaded it to here…

Oooh, me too please.

Its strange, I’ve cross dressed for parties and for Armageddon but haven’t had the chance to do it in a larp yet. Well, I guess its something to put on my to-do-in-larp list.

Gosh, you should do it as soon as possible! You look very cute in mini-skirt!

I would for a game but only if I had a character concept that ABSOLUTELY called for me being female and I was TOTALY attached to the idea of playing said character.

Like, coming pregnant to Ravenholme?

No not gonna happen

I’ve never been comfortable with cross-dressing or being done-up like a girl, railing against those who would attempt to get me to do as such.
I find that encountering cross-dressing unsettles me a bit. I can’t see it being done well beyond pantomime.
