Couples Duex

Great game Tony Lots of fun. I will definitly think twice aout doing something my partner definitly does not want me to do and then hide the truth for three years…
Definitly up for a Couples menage trois if you ever get around to it (or any game really)
Recomend this to anyone who wants to see relationships in action

I enjoyed myself. I was left wanting somewhat in that things with our group didn’t quite get kicked up to the notch I heard of other groups, so I will just hope that next time I’m involved things get more volatile.

Not the fault of any bad RPing or poor writing, just the way things resolved this time around.

Thanks Tony, I really enjoyed the game. I feel like I have been slapped in the face … with a fish!

I had a great time tonight, thanks to everyone that was there, especially Tony the GM. It was really cool trying a low-key version of events. Things resolved pretty well for everyone involved.

Personally, I was feeling somewhat tired, and now I keep thinking of the things I should have said. But I found at the time, it seemed the best thing to do was to hide the drugs and attempted suicide stuff, though I realise now it would have made more interesting roleplaying. It was hard to talk about that stuff when the character was fragile. I think not getting into tantrums and all the melodrama made it more realistic. Having said that, is LARP meant to go beyond realism so one can experience the situations beyond one’s own ken? Thanks everyone for an enjoable evening.

You never know how things will go…

I’ve seen that game end in screaming matches, it all depends on the players frame of mind, their own real life experiences and what they want to delve into. Even though there wasnt the high emotion of other games, I really felt there was some beautiful scenes, and some that just made me squirm and had to walk out of the room. Love it

I did try to put more ‘secrets’ into Couples Deuce, so the players can choose not to reveal ‘everything’. So not delving into those issues Hannah was fine, and I believe less melodramatic. BTW not sure I remember the scene with a fish Derek, although you did take a couple of slaps to the face very calmly there

After Couples I wanted to create a game that still dealt with emotive issues, but wasnt as destructive. So couples Deuce does make for a more realistic but less intense game. But hearing a few people stating how they wanted to ‘feel’ more (FauxCyclops), 3 Couples is looking to be ‘Couples’ on steroids. Ouch, Make em feel emotions I say.

See you next year
