[size=150]Full Leather Body Armour – 6th Aug – 24th Sep[/size]
Spartacus fan, theatre costumer or into LARP’ing? This unique course suitable for men and women over 12, will have you create a basic leather armour in 8 weeks. All you will need is some leather and our experienced tutor will provide the tools, some rivets and poppers to make and decorate your finished costume.
o Weeks 1 & 2 – Helmet /
o Week 3 –Start Body Armour /
o Week 4 &5 - Chest Plate /
o Week 6 – Shoulders and Arms /
o Week 7 – Leg Armour /
o Week 8 – Finishing, decoration, demonstration and experimentation
Cost
Course cost - $160 ($20 per week)
Leather can be provided at an extra cost or you can provide your own:
Half 2-3mm Russet leather natural (ready for art finishing).
Dyes and art finishing media will be supplied at $20.00 per person.
Time
Formal tuition will be available from 7-9pm every Wednesday in term time but the workspace will be open from 5pm after week one should you wish to bring your dinner in and work independently on your project.
Tutor - SEAN HURST - Costume, Props and Production Design
Since his Bachelors of Visual Arts, in 2002 Sean has been working in the film, Television and Theatre industry fabricating costume and props, on productions like 5 seasons of Power Rangers and 4 seasons of Spartacus, Sean was involved as production designer on the recent Earthwire Production “Journey of a Story” and “The Fox on the Fairway”.
