Community Goals for 2008

2007 has been a pretty good year for larp in New Zealand. Loads of games have happened, a few new settings, always something to play in.

What do we want to happen in 2008? What direction do we want the larp community to go/grow in? What are we going to do to make it happen? What are you going to do to make it happen?

I’d like to see a large generic-ish fantasy game running in Auckland that has regular games (i.e. monthly or fortnightly). Probably run by different teams of GMs running under the same rule and genre setting that allows players to play the same character again and again.

I’ve found my collection of round too-its, and Multiverse is getting some much-need development time, generic high fantasy is back on the cards !

In terms of the regular games, I don’t see myself as personally having the time, but I would be happy for other GMs to run day/nightgames. Are you volunteering to GM from time to time ?

What about daygames? They keep the feeling of being involved into the game, but they are much easier to organize than the weekend games. I wanna more Ravenholme day games, and Pirates, and maybe St Wolfgang can have it too?

I think I have a day game in me somewhere. It’d probably work under the St Wolfgang rules just fine as well if the game owners were willing to allow others to GM day games.

I hope to confirm the availability of an excellent new venue over Xmas :smiling_imp:

Daytime games are good. Even games of 6 hours or so. Lots of them.
Pump out the games, lots of player time, lots of crew time!
