Committee related question

Having had this pointed out to me by a classmate, and having nominated myself as Treasurer, I was wondering if I would be required to attend meetings in person or would I able attend via Skype? I only ask this because I am currently living in Hamilton at the moment with no plans to move to or live in Auckland in my immediate future.

While I would be happy to attend meetings in person, it would depend on my class schedules during this and next year for University. If this would present a problem I am happy to withdraw my nomination for the Committee so that someone can fill this role in a more appropriate capacity and who is able to attend meetings and the like in person.

There are no regular meetings in person for the National Committee. Business is usually handled online. Around half the society is now in Auckland and half in Wellington, so national business should never require attendance at a particular location, and that goes for people living in Hamilton, Dunedin, etc.

The National Treasurer gives a financial report for the overall society at the AGM at the end of the year. But this can be done remotely.
