I remember the days of making armour out of cardboard… seemed like a good idea at the time! Can’t agree about not using real armour though, most real armour isn’t spiky.

I like how it starts out describing the diversity of larp, it does a good job without just using the Wikipedia entry.

Actually, real amour is listed under “Do” (“It looks cool!”), it’s real weapons that are under “Don’t” (“It’s not actually legal!”)
