Combat practice Saturday April 27th

Anyone in the Auckland area keen for some larp combat practice? Excellent opportunity to get some practice in before Teonn.

Everyone welcome. You don’t need to have your own sword there are always spares around. All levels of experience at fighting welcome. This is a great chance to try out lar combat for a the first time and get to meet fellow larpers.

Date - Saturday 27th April
Time - 1000 - 1300
Location - Pohutakawa Drive, Cornwall Park, Greenlane, Auckland

Are people gonna costume it up? or go in their civilian clothes?

I need practise fighting with my armour on, so I’ll be mostly costumed up. Just that my costume isn’t complete yet… i.e decorated/prettied up.

[quote=“amphigori”]Are people gonna costume it up? or go in their civilian clothes?[/quote]I’m just going to be turning up in regular clothing, but we’ll be fighting in the park with latex covered foam swords, so if you want to turn up in costume, I don’t think looking a little odd will be a problem if that’s what you’re concerned about :stuck_out_tongue: If you think that fighting in your costume would be substantially different from fighting in your usual clothes, then I’d recommend training in costume (although you probably don’t need to bother with the elemental makeup). Otherwise, it’s entirely up to you :slight_smile:
