Clarification of Paddywhack discount on gear for NZLARPS

As some folks are aware, while NZLARPS members get a discount of 20% off the marked prices for Paddywhack gear, the society gets an even better discount of 25% off gear for the gear library. NZLARPS has used this special discount to help build up the club supply of latex weapons, leatherworks and other equipment.

I just wanted to clarify that I will give this discount to any gear that is going straight into the NZLARPS gear library, even if the gear isn’t purchased directly by NZLARPS itself (for example for a society project).

If an affiliate, or any other larp group or individual intends to donate their purchases straight into the NZLARPS gear library (whether in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington or Dunedin) then that gear can be brought from Paddywhack with the 25% discount. There are several affiliates who already give their gear to the society in this way, with reciprocal arrangements where those affiliates can borrow society gear for their events.

Cheers,

Ryan

Ryan, could you drop the gear officer a line when anyone is using this discount, so that the gear is expected by the committee. I’d like to keep it all above board so that the discount you offer isn’t abused, or rather, so it isn’t seen to have the potential to be abused.

No problem.

To date it’s only happening in Wellington that I know of and with the knowledge of the branch committee. I wanted to make a general announcement of it so that if anyone wants to do the same in Auckland or elsewhere they know they have the option.
