So, over in the Super Sparkle Action Princess GX thread someone has just posted an awesome logo which lots of people now want on a tshirt - even people who didn’t play in the game.
My thought is - if there was a chimera tshirt, who would get one?
I’m envisioning something with ‘Chimera 2010’ on it, and some sort of Wild West themed image/font. Potential source of revenue? I know I’d buy one!
We have the graphics sorted for a Chimera 2010 shirt, they’re based off the website and designed by Michael Andrew/Hazardu5. We could look at getting some printed if there is interest.
Black XL
Black L
Where do I send money?
I’d get one - colours, sizes, styles?
It would have been awesome to have one before chimera so I could wear it around on the weekend. They could be advertised on the website, people could preorder and pay with their chimera payment, then pick them up at the event. That’s probably a big logistical thing though.
In future, I envision mugs, hats, hoodies, singlets - emblazoned with the chimera and/or nzlarps logo. Maybe even a list of previous chimera’s down the back, like a band tour: 2008, The Flight of the Hindenburg. 2009, The Great Exhibition. 2010 A Town Called Refuge. 2011, ???
Who’s the current markerting officer?

I would love to have Chimera t-shirts available in such a manner, but the Chimera team tends to be flatout as it is - there’s three core members of the team, and it was a strain this year to get everything done. I am happy for someone to volunteer for the role of t-shirt wrangler for next year.
Would it be possible to make these t-shirts up so people could wear them before Chimera? It’s another way to advertise. How far ahead of time do we know the flagship game for the upcoming year? Selling them onsite during Chimera is great, too, especially for people who for one reason or another aren’t able to send money or pick up shirts ahead of time, but I think for maximum impact having at least some of them out and about in advance would be good.

Maybe just add an extra option on the registration form for T-Shirt ordering 1 per registration to be collected at the venue paid in advance. Saves producing more than needed and NZ Larps having excess that aren’t sold of any particular size/colour etc.
Collectable when you get your name badge or during the breaks between games. Would ideally suit someone with a waterproof car boot that isn’t bringing in a huge number of props.

Yep. All great ideas that are relatively easily implemented, if only we had someone to volunteer to organise the printing, cost, and distribution of the shirts. My team of three has run out of hands. Taking applications now
I’ll prod at Alice for you… if you don’t hear from me for a week well… oops
With Chimera growing the way it has been so far (and hopefully, continuing to) a bigger admin team might be a good idea in any case. I’d put my hand up, but I’m not sure what good I could be at the other end of the country
I’d be happy to do things like the GM liaison work that Moo used to do - can do by email, and I’m getting lots of practice hassling people in my current job, anyway.
Oh, you are both amazing for volunteering. A lot of the organisational work is done via backstage forums and email, so you guys would definitely be able to help from your respective corners of New Zealand. If you guys are keen, let me know, and I’ll add you guys to the backstage forum. We sort of make up our own job descriptions based on things that need doing so people can do as much or as little as they feel they have time for.
I’m sorry I can’t help with T-shirts at all
Would love to help with Chimera somehow but I’m still studying next year so I don’t want to commit to helping and then have a study-melt down and be useless. Sorry.
Sure - add me! I think I’m already on some of the backstage ones, but possibly not all.
I’m super at email harrassment
