Chimera Promotion Assistance Needed!

Hello everybody,

In a few weeks, we’ll have large stacks of Chimera posters, fliers and business cards to distribute to larpers and potential larpers across the country with the goal of filling Chimera chocker to its 120 person maximum

We need volunteers, particularly in centres other than Auckland (Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Dunedin, even Christchurch if it’s not too soon, etc) to volunteer to get our advertising materials out there to promote the event.

Please let me know here, or via PM, if you’d like to volunteer to help distribute advertising material, what you are able/comfortable distributing and what areas you can hit.

Thanks,
Anna and the Chimera Team

Heya,

Send some down to me and I’ll pass 'em on to the Roleplaying Society. They’ll spread them all over Otago Campus. I’ll put the word out at the LARP as well when I’ve got more details (i.e the flyers) I’ll pm you my postal address.

Sounds like a job for our Mar-Comms Guy

Also I am happy to stick some up about the place should he need some help

I can hit Dunedin, but down here flyers aren’t the best medium of advertising - word of mouth goes a much longer way. Business cards might be more helpful in that respect!

Yup I’ll sort out the Wellington ones.

Send a poster or 2 my way and I’ll see if I can put some up at the usual geek hotspots… and also the Uni here in the Tron. Also business cards = good.

It might be worthwhile getting the Victoria University Games Club in on some of the advertising action. I realise most students don’t have the spare cash to attend, but there are some strong addicts amongst them now and we might get a few of them to come along. Either that, or they’ll start saving for next year.

I could take a (small) handful. I never seem to encounter much in the way of larping in Palmerston, but I’ll hand some out at the gaming clubs.
